Over the past few years, Alamance County has witnessed a unique amount of growth. 20,000+ people have moved into the area in the past decade. Businesses, organizations, schools, and the housing industry have identified a critical need for expansion in order to properly engage the growth. This has led to incredible development which is drawing even more people to Alamance County.
While the physical needs of man are essential and must be prioritized, we believe that the spiritual needs of man are vastly more important. We believe that if secular structures are concerned about the needs of man, how much more should the church be concerned about the spiritual needs of man?
As we were praying and considering where to plant, God made it clear to us that we needed to plant here to engage the people he has brought to this area. Not only do we need more churches to reach the people that are already here but we will need many more churches to keep up with the growth.
In addition to planting a church, we want to have healthy partnerships with other local churches to display gospel unity to the watching world. Jesus taught his disciples that their love and unity would be evidence of their salvation and the truth of the gospel. We believe that God’s purposes for Alamance County go beyond just our church. We do pray that he uses us to accomplish His purposes but we also hope that He uses other like minded, gospel preaching churches in Alamance County for the advancement of the gospel and the building up of disciples.
Another aspect of our county is the presence of Elon University. We have a God given desire to have a meaningful presence on this campus by equipping students who God will bring into our fold for the work of ministry in their current and future contexts.
May God be glorified in and through us.
